Recorded earlier this year, this interview makes me melt. I know, I know, it's cheesy and fluffy for me to write that, but it's true!
Watching it again makes me realise how two people, knowing very little about each other, can come together and make a connection ... IF they have the courage to speak honestly about who they are, and the grace to listen in non-judgement!
I know, I know! It's me getting all ... "There's - a - place - for - us!" again. But it really makes me wonder how things could be if we turned down the tribal, adversarial side of social media, and tuned into ... well, each other; you know, actually, really, listened to each other.
What if it was less, "Listening to me, I'm right!" and more, "So, tell me your story, I'm listening"; less ego, maybe, and more humility...
What a dreamer, eh? :)
When I sat down with Prita, I knew almost nothing about her. By the end of an hour, I was buzzing with stories of a childhood stretched coast to coast across Australia; a working yacht trip around the world; and the flourishing of a musical career. But the truly beautiful thing was that threaded through these stories ran a wisdom and spirit that was just so captivating!
Enjoy the conversation! I leave you with this quote from Prita:
"When you take one step towards really following your heart's desire, that deepest aching desire, things just unfold that you could never imagine."
