So, I wrote this earlier, in response to a question about exactly what my Three Principles Whitstable Facebook group was about, and thought it was worth sharing!
"We're based in Whitstable, Kent in the UK, and we're trying to build a hub here for sharing simple living and well-being through the three principles understanding, as described by Sydney Banks back in the 70s.
It's all pretty relaxed, and I totally get it, if it's not your thing. Through groups, here and online, we're gently suggesting that thinking is the key to a calmer, more peaceful life... that stress, anxiety, worry come from our moment to moment thinking and not the outside world - it's quite an idea!
When we truly begin to realise that we don't HAVE to take our thoughts seriously, that our thoughts aren't who we are, that who we are comes from a space beneath our thinking ... I don't know ... life starts to change... and stress, worry, anxiety, whilst still being part of our experience, have a little less bite to them!!!
Something like that, anyway and as I said, totally get if it all sounds a bit bonkers! All the best! "
If you're interested in hearing more about the three principles, and how it might help point you back to your own true nature, please join our Facebook group, here: Three Principles Whitstable From October, I'll be running a regular three principles introduction course, a simple course to point people in the right direction, as they start out.
